CLI Reference

Complete reference for all tsx commands, flags, and environment variables.

Environment variables

  • TSX_REGISTRY_URL — Override the default registry URL. Set this to point to a self-hosted registry.

tsx install <package>

Install a pattern from the registry into your project.

  • --dry-run — Preview what files would be created without writing anything.
  • --force — Overwrite existing files.
  • --target <dir> — Install into a specific directory (default: current dir).

tsx search [query]

Search for packages in the registry.

  • --size <n> — Number of results to return (default: 20).

tsx info <package>

Show metadata for a package: version, description, tags, author.


tsx framework init

Scaffold a new FPF package in the current directory.


tsx framework validate

Validate the stack.json manifest in the current directory.


tsx framework publish [--registry <url>]

Publish the current FPF package to the registry.

  • --registry <url> — Target a self-hosted registry instead of the default.
  • --api-key <key> — API key for authenticated publish.
  • --dry-run — Validate and package without uploading.

tsx stack apply

Apply a stack profile (.tsx/stack.json) to the current project.

  • --profile <name> — Named profile to apply (default: default).
